ENGCO were engaged to provide full structural analysis, design and documentation of the new apartment building at 108 Park Terrace.
The building consists of four luxury apartments in a five-storey building. The structure is comprised of precast concrete shear walls and steel moment frames with rib & infill concrete floors supported on a grid of steel beams and columns.
The building sits on a grid of concrete ground beams which span to steel screw piles.
Development of the lateral load resisting system to minimise torsional building response – ENGCO carried out three-dimensional structural analysis of the building structure to investigate response to seismic loading.
Working with the ground improvement contractors and geotechnical engineers to co-ordinate soil stiffness properties into the building 3D analysis and provide building foundation pressures to refine the ground improvement design.
Working closely with the architect and design team to design and detail an efficient structural solution for a very architecturally complex building.
